Naturalist Weekend
With Jonathan Shapiro
of Fox Paw School
June 25-26

To build authentic relationship with the wild world, we need to read what's happening on the landscape around us! Join Jonathan Shapiro of Fox Paw School for an intro to the land as we learn to identify and interpret what we see in the more-than-human realm.
We'll construct a broad-scale ecological framework of the area, then focus on tree and plant ID, animal tracking, and bird language/identification, and connect it to the cycle of the seasons. And of course, we'll have time for contemplation of and gratitude to the beings with whom we share our home.
Most of our time will be in the field, with a few short classroom segments.
On-site camping and four meals are included (Saturday lunch and dinner, and Sunday breakfast and lunch). Those students who are coming from farther away may want to arrive Friday evening to be ready to begin Saturday morning.
Cost: $200
Limit of 10 students

Fire Walk
With Certified Firewalk Instructors Christina Tsang and Weaver Goldsmith
June 25-26

Elemental Alchemy from an Animistic Perspective with Ceremonial Firewalk
The four elements are the building blocks of everything in the universe including ourselves. Traditionally, these elements have been treated as relatives and as our beloved elders. Through intentional engagement with the elements, we can work through the patterns and beliefs that have limited us from experiencing our fullest potential. During this weekend journey, we will engage in practices and rituals to joyfully connect with and honor each element. They are crafted to initiate one into the experience of direct gnosis, or learning from the natural world herself. We will complete our time together with a ceremonial firewalk. In this ancient ritual, we celebrate the height of summer by burning away limitations, and harvesting the gifts that were hidden in our fears/ shadow.
Christina and Weaver are Sundoor Certified Firewalk Instructors and have been practitioners of the healing arts for over 15 years. They are initiated in the lineages of Amazonian, Andean and contemporary shamanism, the Mexica Mystery School tradition, and indigenous healing ceremonies of Turtle Island. They are students of nature and passionate about wellness, wildcrafting, gardening, and radical mycology.
On-site camping is included. Meals are included with the $200 class fee (Saturday lunch and dinner, and Sunday breakfast and lunch). Those students who are coming from farther away may want to arrive Friday evening to be ready to begin Saturday morning.
Cost: $200 Class and Firewalk
